I think it would be good to brighten up the outside of the school buildings with some large artwork. Maybe the children could work with a local artist to come up with a theme and some drawings/paintings to collate into a big piece of work which could be mounted on large boards and attached to a wall.
It would also help the children to feel ownership of the school and have pride in caring for it.
